Nothing is real
2007
DV-video Pal, 4:3, color, sound, 8:12 min
The work shows the word "REAL" being tattooed on the artist's body. Once it's completed the video is looped in reversed mode so the word seems to be removed from the body. The work is a reflection on the concept of reality and it relates to Jean Baudriallard's theory of the simulacrum - that the world has more signs then meanings attached to them.
