This work is an appropriation of Bruce Nauman's seminal video, Art Make Up, 1968 - where the artist is seen putting four layers of body paint on his face and torso: white, red, green and black. The action is presented in reverse so the sense and meaning of the original piece is re-contextualized and re-interpreted as a new version - which is underlined by the word-play of the new title.
